Who are we? – Legacy OBST

LEGACY Syncopated Thunder is comprised of former members of the Long Beach Junior Concert Band www.lbjcb.org infamous Syncopated Drum Section led by former Assistant Director and Drum Major Tim Brennan. Our group is comprised of several decades of our LBJCB Alumni Drummers dating all the way back to the 1960’s up thru 2022 when LBJCB (1952-2022) was dissolved after 70 years of serving the community.

We march to honor the LEGACY of our Founder and Director of the Long Beach Junior Concert Band – Marvin Marker (1935 – 2009). He was known as the “Music Man of Long Beach”, in which he was recognized by the Mayor and City Council of Long Beach. We also march for all of our beloved LBJCB Alumni to keep the OBST alive and well!

We are always looking to perform in future Parades, Shows, and by requested parties.

We are also looking for future members and former LBJCB Alumni interested in training and joining the LEGACY Syncopated Thunder. We have Snare, Tenor, Bass drums, Cymbals, and Pageantry and Banner positions available. Volunteer staff members needed as well.
